The GDome XL 2-Stage Side Trigger System is a wireless (magnetic) camera control grip designed to give you precise, responsive shutter control while shooting in demanding water environments.
It features a two-stage trigger mechanism, allowing you to half-press to focus and fully press to fire the shutter, just like a professional remote camera trigger. This gives you accurate control over timing and focus, which is especially important in fast-moving surf and action conditions.
The system uses a wireless (magnetic) trigger hub mounted inside the housing, meaning there are no external cable holes that could compromise waterproofing. The hub communicates with your camera via an internal wired 2.5mm trigger connection, ensuring reliable and consistent performance.
The side-mounted Fusion grip is designed for a stable two-handed shooting position, improving balance, reducing shake, and giving you more control over your framing compared to one-handed setups.
Focus and shutter trigger points are fully adjustable, allowing you to fine-tune responsiveness to your shooting style and camera setup. The internal hub is secured using high-quality 3M tape or click-lock tape, and can also be permanently fixed with epoxy for users who prefer a permanent installation.
Built for surf and underwater use, the system is rugged, waterproof, and designed to perform in challenging conditions where timing and stability matter most.
The Fusion trigger system is made with a combination of 3D printing and resin moulding (please allow for colour and finish variations).
The Fusion side shutter system is extremely strong, will not affect the waterproofing of the XL housing (its triggering mechanism is wireless / magnetic), is rated as IP69K, is fully waterproof, and will not trigger at depth.
Focus and shutter points will need to be set by the user by placing the shutter hubs at the corresponding points as per the installation instructions.
You can use gloves with this trigger system.
Please ensure that you always rinse your trigger thoroughly in fresh water after use.
