GDome XL Main Housing (Universal Camera Housing Body)
The GDome XL Main Housing is the core structural body of the GDome XL system, the foundation that everything else builds into. It is designed to work with a wide range of mirrorless and DSLR cameras, making it a truly universal underwater and surf photography housing.
This main unit is engineered to accommodate different setups through a modular design, allowing users to configure the system based on their shooting style, environment, and camera setup.
You can choose between a no-trigger setup, a pistol trigger (Surf grip), or a side trigger (Fusion grip) depending on your shooting preference.
Please select your preferred option from the dropdown menu.
Key configuration options supported:
- Flexible Rear Membrane setup – Enables full access to your camera’s rear screen and controls while sealed, allowing quick adjustments to settings such as focus, exposure, and shooting mode during use.
- Solid Backdoor setup – A rigid, high-strength polycarbonate rear option designed for maximum protection and increased clarity, ideal for heavy surf and more demanding conditions where simplicity and durability are preferred.
The housing also supports multiple trigger systems (pistol or side-grip configurations), adjustable internal camera positioning, and interchangeable port systems (dome and flat), making it adaptable to a wide range of shooting scenarios.
Built from high-strength, glass-filled nylon and tested for harsh marine environments, the GDome XL Main Housing is designed to withstand surf impact, pressure, and repeated professional use.
This is the base platform of the entire GDome XL ecosystem—all ports, triggers, backdoors, and accessories integrate into this main housing unit.
