The GDome XL Flexible Rear Membrane is a rear screen with a built-in O-ring seal designed for full access to your camera’s controls while it also waterproofs / seals the housing.
Made from a strong, ultra-flexible medical-grade silicone material, it forms a watertight rear seal when the backplate (Solid or Flex) is tightened in place, while allowing you to see and interact with your camera’s rear screen and settings during use. This makes it ideal for shooting situations where you need to quickly adjust exposure, tap for focus, or change a shooting mode without opening the housing.
When using the Flex Backdoor and the flexible membrane, this prioritises speed, usability, and full rear camera control, making it the preferred option for most of our users.

This eliminates the silicone layer over the display, replacing it with just the crystal-clear polycarbonate window for an unobstructed view and a more direct, high-clarity shooting experience.
Both setups integrate into the same rear-sealing O-ring, allowing users to choose between full camera interaction (membrane) or maximum clarity and protection (solid backdoor with a cut-out membrane) depending on their shooting needs.
