HOW TO INSTALL LIGHTROOM PRESETS

GDome installation guides will show you the easiest way how to install Lightroom Presets on a MAC, PC or Lightroom mobile App. How to install Lightroom Presets 2020 depends on the Lightroom version you are using. Please select one of the following instructions and you'll be ready to edit your images in no time.

Lightroom CC Mobile App (Via Creative Cloud & sync)

Lightroom 4-5-6 (only .lrtemplate Preset files)

How to install Lightroom Presets in Lightroom Classic CC

(Latest version with .xmp Preset files - MAC & PC)

1. Open Lightroom Classic CC.

2. Select "Lightroom >> Preferences" upper left corner (MAC). If you're using a PC please select "Edit >> Preferences".

3. A new window will open. Select the "Presets" tab next to General.

4. Make sure "Show Partially Compatible Develop Presets" is checked.

5. Make sure "Store presets with this catalog" is unchecked.

6. Select "Show Lightroom Develop Presets".

7. A new library folder named "Settings" will open.

8. Copy and paste for example your new Lookfilter Preset folder/s (including only .xmp files) into this folder.

Note: All our Presets come in zip files, please unzip your download first.

9. Restart Lightroom and you're ready to edit with new Presets.

How to install older .lrtemplate files in Lightroom Classic CC

(Latest version  - MAC & PC)

1. Open Lightroom Classic CC.

2. Select "Lightroom >> Preferences" upper left corner (MAC). If you're using a PC please select "Edit >> Preferences".

3. A new window will open. Select the "Presets" tab next to General.

4. Make sure "Show Partially Compatible Develop Presets" is checked.

5. Make sure "Store presets with this catalog" is unchecked.

6. Select "Show ALL Other Lightroom Presets".

7. A new library folder named "Lightroom >> Develop Presets" will open.

8. Select the "Develop Presets" folder and copy the Preset folder/s (including only .lrtemplate files) into this folder.

Note: All our Presets come in zip files, please unzip your download first.

9. Restart Lightroom and you're ready to edit with new Presets.

Please note:

If you're using an older LR version the "Preferences" window

will look like this.

In this case please select "Show Lightroom Presets Folder..." and follow the steps 7-8-9 as described above.
